the chase that changed twitter

In case you missed it...

A low speed chase in LA with a white Bentley that lasts three hours. During the chase rumors of the driver being a celeb caused the paparazzi to chase the cops chasing the car. During the chase multiple celebs wikipedia pages were being updated to state they were driving the car. At one point most were reporting it to be Chris Brown. Most reports now say it was DJ Khaled.

The strangest part of the story of the story is DURING THE CHASE the driver updated a special twitter account telling his moves. Some believe the twitter account was a person posing as the driver.

This will be interesting to see to an end.

Ok, so we now find out that the Twitter person wasn't the driver, but still amazing that within minutes of a reported chase a twitter person is giving up to the minute updates. Then within a few minutes there are hundreds of followers on the twitter account. Could this be a new way for the media or even the government to help spread info on crisis or events? Each event or crisis could get its own twitter account. this maybe even better than the search.twitter.com page. Say a prayer for the family of the driver please.
