Things that Annoy Me

Ok, so here is a short list of some things that annoy me. I know you probably don't care but it made me feel good to type it out. So here goes... (oh and there are plenty of other things that annoy me but I didn't want to make the list too long)

• The use of the term ‘home slice’ = What the crap is a home slice? It seems to be used as the new ‘dude’ but without the need of sounding high when you say it. (You can’t dude properly without sounding high!) I have only heard used by country style folk who use it trying to be ‘thug.’

• People who argue that voting is a waste of time. = WTF, have you not heard of Florida in 2000, 2004, or this year? Have you not heard of Alaska this year? This is just an excuse used by people who are lazy and don’t care about themselves or those around them!

• Major intersections without crosswalks = along with that major roads without sidewalks. The government is always telling us to get out and walk, ride our bikes and be active but then don’t even give us places to walk! This makes no sense to me

• People who say “This is America, speak English” = Actually Florida was founded in the 1500’s by the Spanish so we should actually be speaking Spanish or Seminole since they have been here the longest. The Spanish sold Florida (which is a Spanish name by the way!) to the French so maybe we should speak French here. Those who demand people to speak English either ignore or are ignorant to our own history. This country has always been a melting pot of cultures and languages (even before the pilgrims and the Spanish explorers this nation was filled with thousands of unique Native American cultures most their own unique dialect some of which are still being translated to this day). What gets me the most is that those who demand this English only language usually claim to be patriotic and claim to do it to preserve American history. That just shows me how much of that so called history they know!

• Semi-Automatic weapons = Why are these needed? I doubt you need this to hunt for deer!

• Fashion shows where the runway is U shaped with people in the middle = I didn’t come to watch people. I like when they fill this area with grasses or other items themed to the show but when they just fill it with people it looks like they ran out of seating. It takes away from the show by being a major distraction, especially when a person in the middle section is not paying attention to the show. (The use of these runways in concerts is equally annoying to me, but MTV seems to do it at every VMA!)

• New York accents = I can hear one from across the room and be instantly annoyed. They are loud, overbearing, and usually are coming from a demanding person. They really annoy me when they are attempting to pronounce FloridaKissimmee, Osceola, Okahumpka, Umatilla, Platka, etc.). Those from L.I. are okay, and yes you can tell a difference in the accents. New York City people aren’t as bad its usually Buffalo and that whole area that has the annoying accents! cities (

• People who claim to like techno but can’t tell the difference between House and Trance = Poser!

• Fluff news stories= I don’t watch the news to feel good I watch it to be informed. If I wanted to feel good I would go buy a puppy! Puppies make me feel good, stupid news stories on happy items that are outdated by the time they air don’t make me feel good. They just prove to me how out of touch the news is!

• Pregnant women who smoke- Few things irritate me more than this! I think it should be illegal for pregnant women to smoke. If you can’t provide tobacco products to a minor why should you be able to provide them to a fetus? Personally smoking is one of the dumbest things a person can do (lighting something on fire, putting in your mouth and inhaling the smoke, WTF!) but when a pregnant women does it I get all the more mad. This is by far one of the worst things a parent can do. If you loved your baby, or even yourself, you would stop! End of story.
